Lake DeGray

Today we went on a little trek to Lake Degray. It was pretty fun cause it was afternoon time and the sun was looking pretty.

We did a little hiking and walked the dogs. Then we saw a wierd little cluster of ducks. They were all black and huddled together. (any idea what kind of ducks they are?) Let me mention that Lake DeGray is a prime spot to see birds of prey in the winter time. Right as I put my camera away, a hawk swooped down, grabbed a duck, freaked all the other ones out, and flew off. I didn't get a picture, so I manufactured one to show you the intensity of the moment. :)

Along the way we got several Owchies.

I just realized that most people didn't even know we had a dog (including my dad), so here are some pictures of my big ol' fat Ladybird.

Doesn't it look like she needs a puppy friend?

Or, you could bring Ladybird up here to play!! She would love it, and so would my dogs.

Didn't know you had a dog either, how long have you had her? That would be a wild sight to see with the hawk
