Another Geocache Adventure

Today we decided to go on another geocaching hike. Keith discovered that there was one just a quarter mile from our house, so we took a little walk.

Keith led us to a very old cemetary. It was one of the poorer cemetaries about 120 years ago and most of the graves and bodies were lost, moved, or stolen, but it still had a creepy vibe. You could see some very nice 6 ft sinkholes about every 2 1/2 feet or so and you can guess what used to be in those holes. We searched for about 10 minutes before Keith and Derek found our cache under a fallen tree.

Keith logged our visit in the book.

On our way out, we found 2 headstones that had been moved. One was unreadable, but the other wasn't.

When we looked up the hill, we saw where it had originally sat.

I think cemetaries are very interesting, so this cache was way more fun to find than the last one, in my opinion.

Cool tombstones. I stopped on the way home from Abilene last month at the Fort Chadborne cemetary. Pretty sad and forgotten! I almost (ALMOST) wanted to get out an start weeding around some of the grave markers - no way! Too many stickers!
