So here I am again. I'm here to report the past 2 days of our trip. Yesterday we drove 11 hours from Mississippi to San Antonio TX. It was a LONG drive. Nothing great happened. It was foggy
and we entered Texas, which was the last state on our list to visit for our "Gulf Trip 2009" (because we've officially visited every state that borders the Gulf of Mexico)
Then today was JD's airmans coin ceremony. We got there really early, so we went together to get some snacks.
Then Keith, the kids and I went to go see JD's dorms to kill time. Apparently we aren't supposed to be over there, because we got chased out by a grouchy TI.
Then we went to go find a spot to watch the ceremony. Here are some guys getting the place ready.
Then the Squadrons come in. We couldn't find JD's flight at first, but we eventually found it on the other side of the retreat pad. Here he is all handsome-like :)

and reciting the Airmans creed
and saluting so nicely.
Tomorrow is the actual graduation, so more pictures to come. For now I'll leave you with a final picture. The TIs had two easy targets on JD to pick on- his horribly long last name, and his gigantic eyes when he wears glasses. I thought I'd leave you with a visual of the latter.

Wow, his eyes do look amazingly huge in glasses! What career field is he going into?
I'm so glad you sent the pictures. He does look very handsome in his uniform. I never noticed before his big eyes. I'm so glad that part is over for him. Wish I could have been there. You Dad looks great and happy. I'll bet it was nice to see him. Love you, have a nice trip home.
