Tonight we are being pounded by storms. Right now we are in our 3rd string of storms in the past few hours. We took these pictures after the first line of storms. They are straight out of the camera, unaltered. It is amazingly beautiful. I went downtown at 10:00 pm to watch the storm and see if Central Ave would flood. That's when I shot the picture of the old Army Navy hospital. It was lit up from all the lightning and was beautiful. Looking at the picture it looks like mid day. I tried to wait out the storms in a parking deck, but decided it would be smart to get home to my family. Most of the streets were flooded out, but after many turnarounds, I finally got home. The flooding pictures are of Derek's favorite park a few blocks from our house right after the first storm. We can't get down there right now because the water is up too high, and we're expecting more rain in the next few hours. Might I add that the creek under the bridge in the picture is usually just a trickle (about 3 inches wide and 4 or 5 inches deep). Many tornadoes have touched down and the Little Rock Airport was just trashed (flipped over airplanes, fuel leaks, etc.). It's pretty messy in our part of the world, but so far we're doing okay. We'll see how the night progresses...
