Daisy State Park

Yesterday we went to Daisy State Park. None of us had been there before except for Keith, so we wanted to check it out. It's mostly for recreation, like atv's and motorbiking, but we still had fun. There was a little trail that we went on that had a creek we had to cross. The most interesting part was when we got down by the creek everything was covered in a fine dirt layer. It went up the trees about 6 1/2 feet. It took me a minute to realize that all of that was underwater when we got those nasty storms a while back. It was pretty weird to think that we would have been stnding completely underwater (because the creek was maybe about 1.5 feet wide and a foot deep) We hiked down to the lake where we found pieces of driftwood (big pieces- about the size of 3 grown men) washed about 45 feet from the coastline. It was pretty cool. Afterwards, we went to the park and played for a couple hours. Cassie played on a playground for the first time and had a blast. Grammy, Valerie and Ben came along on our family adventure and everyone had alot of fun. We are going to try to go to different state parks this year, because I want to see all 52 Arkansas state parks!
