Derek's Parent Day

Yesterday was Derek's first parent day at school. We got to go to his classroom and have him show us around. Here is Derek and Cassie at the school. She has to copy everything he does. :) In the first one Derek was shielding his eyes from the sun, so Cassie did what she thought brother was doing (which is "a little old man by the window stood" from little house in the middle of the woods song- you wouldnt get it unless youve done the song and heard her singing) haha


Here he is showing us how he can match upper case letters with lower case letters (which he said was boring because he already knew that from pre-k) He still has a little trouble with lower case d and b, but he's picking it up alright.

Then he showed us the behavior chart (Oh! the behavior chart) He explained what each of the colors mean. he has done well this week... blue crayons all week. (thats the best color)

His class is alot neater than I remember kindergarten being, but then again computers in the classroom were unheard of. :)
