Lake Catherine... at night

Once again, we have been getting ALOT of rain. I really dont like the rain, but we made the best of it today. Keith decided we were going to go on a nighttime hike to the Lake Catherine. It was raining and dark, probably not the best time to hike next to a raging creek, but it was fun. The last post I did on Lake Catherine was the most water I've seen going over the falls, until now. Just for reference, here is a normal waterflow over the falls from pretty close up.

Here is the falls today.

Usually there is a huge sandbar across the little pond at the bottom. Today it was under water. Keith carried everyone across because it was knee deep in parts and moving fast.

Also, there were waterfalls that usually aren't there. That was probably the coolest part. :)

It was scary (you know, cause it was night and raining and the water was going really fast) but so much fun!
