Bear Creek

Today we went to Bear creek in Ouachita National Forest to see some fall foliage. We have mostly pine here, but there are a few hardwoods mixed in there. Here is a couple snaps of the fam.

Another thing we noticed is the wildlife is very bold this time of year. We had doe dashing in front of the car (mostly because it's hunting season) and a new friend named Filmore, who could care less that we were all staring and gawking at him. This is him.

Here is a picture of the road we took to our hike. I thought it was pretty.

When we got to the top, we took a snack/water break. Cassie was super excited to get out of the harness. She wanted to get out and play.

Then the vista- not great in the picture, but nice in real life!

By the time we got back to the car, Cassie was exhausted.

That trail is amazing! I want to go hiking there! And I don't think it's too early to decorate for Christmas, if you like it that much.
