This morning

Yesterday we went to Target to get some indoor activities (it's going to rain all week- yay). Today we did our first project: FINGER PAINTS! Yay for messes! I covered the table in butcher paper and let the kids go to town.

Derek has a blast mixing the colors and the mixing all the mixed colors together. Then he drove his monster trucks through the paint to make cool patterns.

Cassie thought it'd be more fun to try the paint (thank goodness for non-toxic paints), but she also liked smacking her hands on the table.

We ended up with a very spectacular mixture of blobs and tracks.


I also wanted to share something else. I really enjoy unique socks. I love finding odd socks that you know won't match with a single thing you wear. I buy them for the kids too. Derek loves the superhero and cartoon ones. Today was the first day all three of us had crazy socks on at the same time.
