On Saturday, Derek had his 6th birthday. He had a space theme and requested a zero gravity party. Since I couldn't think of anywhere in Hot Springs that had zero gravity, I did the closest thing to zero gravity I could think of... pool party! We had his party at the YMCA because they have an indoor pool.
Here is Cassie with her favorite balloon... the earth :)
After the swimming, we had a table set up with spaced theme everything. We got his cake at Walmart. They didn't have any "space" cakes, but they had star trek. So we put a shuttle on the cake with the Starship Enterprise. :)
Here he is with his sisters and some of his friends.
And then the most anticipated part... presents! He got alot of space, world, and weather stuff (which is the coolest stuff he could ask for). He was very happy.
I also want to point out that the only thing he asked my mom for was zero gravity. She slaved over finding him zero gravity and got the closest thing she could find. He was very excited :)
I also have pictures of his bedroom, which is now littered with posters about space and the earth :) He says his room is perfect now.

How cute! Looks like it was fun!
Perfect! The pool was a great zero gravity idea! And I bet Grandpa L is very jealous of his USS Enterprise cake!
He thought it was cool, so thats all that matters :)
I thought it was cool because I didn't have to clean up my house afterwards :)
He was mostly happy because most of the people he invite were able to come. Wish we lived closer to some of my side of the family so you guys could hang out with us!
