After school today, we went to play outside. Derek hopped on his bike and started riding by himself for the first time! He is very proud of himself for finally figuring it out :)
Interesting story:Ever since he was about 2, Derek has been begging for a dirt bike. Keith has always said "when you can ride a bike without training wheels, you can get one". He rode his magestic ride for about the 10th time, turned to me and said "I'm so glad I can ride my bike! .... Can I get a dirt bike now?"

well keith doesn't make it any better. he has been itching to get derek one since he could ride a tricycle :) I guess now he gets to search the newspapers and pawn shops for a bike for christmas :) Im not sure im ready for that, but the boys sure seem to think its the greatest idea in the world
Ha ha! They never forget! Apparently I told Megan years ago that she could get her ears pierced when she was 12 (so she'd be old enough to take care of them). I don't remember making that statement. Guess what birthday she's having this year? She's such a tomboy, I'm surprised she wants to, but that's what she asked for. Way to go, Derek, for learning to ride! Watch yard sales this summer too. I don't know how they are where you are, but you can find some good stuff around here.
