The past little while...

So we've been busy at work and school lately and haven't been doing much. So since I've been slacking on the pictures, Keith has been doing quite a bit of it :)
We planted some gardens, and all of us sat around and enjoyed the sun.

Of course when you start digging up the dirt, the birds have to come and harrass you :)

This picture is mainly for those of you who saw how awful the front of my house was before. Can't make the house better with plants, but they sure distract a little bit :)

Today was my first day off in a long time, so we decided to go hiking around Lake Ouachita. This is my favorite lake because it's so clean. It was so hot outside, but the lake was still very cold, so no swimming yet.




The water around our sitting rock is about 2 feet deep, it's just that clean to where you can see to the bottom. Be jealous Texas relatives :)




Just a picture Keith took paparazzi style of me. He likes to do that :)

On our adventure to the northern coast of the lake (I'd never been to the northern coast), we ran across a graveyard that they had moved in the 1950's when they created the lake. Some of the markers dated back to before the civil war. If you know me, you understand why this was a cool find.


We also found a marsh in the mountains. It was crazy. Apparently a while back some beavers blocked off a small stream and created a marsh. Since it was in national forrest, they left it that way and it created a whole ecosystem. Blah blah anyway, it was cool to run across a marsh in the mountains :)


Tomorrow we return to our works and schools, so now I must go get ready for that :)
