Our weekend part one- Louisiana Purchase

This weekend we decided to have a history weekend. In northeast arkansas there are a couple state parks that hold a large significance for the history of the US. The first place we went was the original survey point of the Louisiana Purchase.

Its in the middle of swampland. Thankfully there was a boardwalk to the stone, because I dont think I could navigate through this mess.

The ice in the swamp was so cool looking.

Anyway, here is the stone and what it says (what wasn't under water anyway. :)

On the way to our next destination, a VERY large flock of geese flew over the car. That was cool too.
