Today the Santa Train came to town so we decided to go see it. The first thing we spotted was the firehouse dalmation. Derek thought it was cute, but cassie was unsure what to make of it.

We went down the tracks to watch it come in. Cassie LOVES santa (more than most kids) and was so excited when she heard the train coming.

And then he arrived. All the kids were excited. Cassie was up on keiths shoulders screaming "Santa! Hi Santa!" and waving as big as she could.

Since the kids had already seen Santa at the mall, we decided to go check out the train. Derek of course was quick to tell me that it was a diesel train, not a steam engine like Thomas.

Santa was REALLY busy with the 50 million other kids that were there, so we went to play on the firetruck.

Then we got to thinking... the tracks run right behind my work... lets go down there and see him on his way to the next station. On the way there we crossed paths in the middle of the road as they were switching paths.
And we got to my work just in time to see it go around the bend. That was probably my favorite part cause there was no one else there. I think it made it real for Derek because he realized it wasn't just a one stop show. He said "look mom! he's really on his way to see the other kids" That was kind of funny.

You have such fun things in your city! I love the Santa Train! And Santa looked really good! He works at my Wal-mart, so anytime you want just run up here and I'll take you to see him. Great post!
ps. I love Cassie's face in the picture of her next to the dog. :)
He is an awesome Santa! He did it last year too. I love when they have real beards. It just makes it better. And Cassie was so unsure of that dog. She didnt smile or cry, she just studied it the entire time
