Our christmas time

So Ive realized the more kids you have and the older they get, and the closer you are to family all makes for one very busy, exciting, tiring holiday season. I finally feel up to typing, though it will mostly be just a couple snaps of what we did the past few days. I can tell you 90% of our time as a family has been playing the wii fit. It's so nice to have when you can't actually get out and play. I will start with our festivities at my mother in laws house. First, we had an "Amazing Race" type thing for the kids. They had clues to go to different challenges, and with the completion of each challenge, they got a little prize. Here they are opening their prizes.

Grammy takes each of the kids out to buy little $5 gifts for all their family members and then they get to hand those gifts out. Cassie had so much fun with it this year. Here she is handing me my gift. She got me a giant Reeces candy bar... so good.

Here is grammy for her gifts for all her grandkids. (she wasnt feeling too hot) And here are the kids opening some of their gifts.

And Cassie playing tea party with aunt carla

Then we went to bed. Santa came. We got up and opened presents.

We also had our very first white christmas morning (i know, all of you who actually got snow are holding your sides laughing at me, but hey, snow is snow right?)

Christmas evening we went to see Keiths dad and his wife. They moved since the last time we saw them so cassie was very unsure at first. Eventually she warmed up and realized everyone was the same, just in a different house. Cassie is also in a phase of making a dorky smile face, so get ready. (minus the first picture, shes just happy she has treats) :)

Okay, day after Christmas with our Christmas money we decided to get cassie a toddler bed. My new years resolution is to not have to buy diapers of any kind again, so that means cassie is going to have to be able to get in and out of bed by herself. So far she has done really well with not getting up and playing all night like derek did.

Here's cass playing the wii fit running game. Just thought it was funny.

On Sunday Cassie was very eager to try out her new bike. The wind was still horrible, but we put on her new coat and took her outside anyway. We weren't outside for more than 20 minutes before it was "too winny" and we had to go back inside, but she got to try it out nontheless.

And now we're (by that I mean I) just recouping and hanging out trying to do as little as possible. :)

Christmas is a wonderful family time, isn't it? We so much wished that you could have all been in Colorado Springs with us. We loved having April and Dan, and wish that we could have had the rest of your family -- Mom, Dad, JD & Monica, and all of you.
