Our outing today

Today we finally got to enjoy Colorado Springs. We got all of our stuff done before 3, so now we have the rest of the time to play. We are staying at my grandparents house until Thursday, (which is REALLY brave considering what a crazy house it has been- Derek and Nico have been crazy times 10 and Cassie has been shy times 100.) In spite of all the heightened emotions that come with travel, my grandparents have helped us out alot with the kids and kept us good and fed. We are so thankful for them. Since we got everything done, we decided to be common tourists and go on my favorite hiking trail. We drove all the way out there, and it was closed. SAD!
So then we picked another trail that Nico didn't want to go on because there was a sign that said "dangerous" and it freaked him out. We did go up though and it was beautiful. Cassie was happy the whole hike too (which is suprising because she has been such a grouch since we left our house on Friday).

The only thing we didn't plan for is the lack of ability to breath. That sucked a little bit, but it was worth it. We got some decent pictures of the mountains with the city in the backround. I miss the mountains an awful lot.
