Derek had another game today. He loves baseball so much. He was very excited because he hasn't got to play in two weeks and he knows that at the end of season they get trophies... well sort of. At the beginning of the season he asked the boys club director if he got to get a trophy at the end and was so excited to find out that everyone does. Today we asked the coach when the trophy ceremony was, and come to find out, there isn't going to be a ceremony and all they are getting are little medallions. He was not too happy about that. He cried when we got in the car because he thought he wasn't going to get one because he wasn't good at baseball. Then he started apologizing to me for not being good enough to get a trophy. I was so sad. I couldn't get him to understand that they just changed their minds on the trophies. Needless to say he is very upset at the world right now.
During the game, I was paying attention to Derek and giving him advice during the game (it was just Derek, Cassie and me- Kayla Meaghan and Keith went to Kayla's awards ceremony). Apparently, I wasn't paying nearly enough attention to my baby because she started making "the annoying noise" as Derek calls it. She does this whenever she is not getting attention. She puffs up her cheeks real big and then lets the air out really slowly through her lips, creating a low buzzing noise. She has to know that it drives everyone crazy, because every time I fussed at her or even looked at her, she would start laughing. Haha Cassie, very funny. I just wanted to show you her puff face, because it cracks me up.
