Company Picnic

Yesterday, Keith's office had a company picnic at Magic Springs. Keith's mom was wonderful enough to man the horrible traffic and wait in line get all our tickets upgraded to season passes. There were more people there than I have ever seen. The kids had fun though. I did something that I never thought would happen. I got my stepdaughters to ride the Gauntlet. MaKayla was terrified the whole way up, but once we got on and the ride got going, I could hear her yelling "I love this ride!". Meaghan said the ride was fun but her head bounced around and she didn't like that part. We went to go have some dinner compliments Blue Cross and Magic Springs and got really full. By the pavillion where we were eating, the radio stations had their vans parked and ready for the Lonestar concert and Bob Robbins was there. I always see him on tv, but I never really knew who he was. Apparently, he is in the DJ hall of fame and is a famous outdoors show guy. So we gawked for a while, then went back to the pool. We spent 99% of the day in the pool because it was so hot and humid and there were so many people. After 7 hours of being in the sun, we came home. We were all so tired and poor baby Cassie was ready to get out of the sun. I think the kids were ready too. They said we have to come back this week while dad is at work. They're a bit excited for this summer. :)

ah, yes, I remember the hot muggy days of staying in the pool all day. Some days, there's just nothing else you can do - you're wet anyway, so why not just get in the pool!
