Well Ive been taking leave from the blogging because my internet has been really unreliable. I have a connection now at this very second though so i better take advantage:) We've been moderately busy- birthdays, school, life planning etc but we got a little break the past 2 days. Yesterday is started snowing/icing/raining. It was enough to build little snowmen and dangerous enough mix to keep Derek out of school.

Overnight everything froze to a solid piece of ice. Bad enough for Keith and Derek to be kept home. So we decided to take advantage of having a slab of ice as a backyard. We broke out the summer pool and used it to skate across the ice. The kids got a good distance too. With no friction, they didn't slow down much. They crashed into the fence at the bottom of the hill before they stopped. It was pretty fun and not too bad until it got windy. Then it was too cold.

YAY for snowdays! I remember those from when we lived in Missouri. So much fun!
and the pool-sled is a super good idea!
I love the little snowmen!
And, is that -- almost -- a smile on Keith's face????
Looks fun, but way too cold for this old man.
Yay Derek!!! What a cool snowman - I can even see his face! I'd say "wish I was there," but the cold prevents me from really meaning it too much!
