So today has already been interesting. It started snowing this morning, but Derek's school was still in so we packed him up and took him to school. At around 8:30, the school called to say to come get the babies. So we got bundled up to get him. A 15 minute drive turned into 40 minutes and gave me a few grey hairs. Between all the nice icy hills and the crazy drivers, I never want to drive again (not to mention I'm driving someone elses vehicle). So we start our drive home, watch people crash into each other, semis jacknife and roll over and school buses heading back to the school. What fun! Well the hill back to our house is pretty uppy, and as I watched people attempt to go up and fail miserably, I decided we were going to have an on-foot adventure instead. :) First time ever I've walked home because I was too scared to drive.

Oh man. If only they'd been considerate enough to cancel school before it started huh?! No fun. But it'll be a good memory...."Remember when we had to walk half-way home because mom was too scared to drive?" Haha! I would have been too!
Sounds like you had fun. I can't believe you were too scared to do it. You've driven here. We drove back from Denver last night. It was awful. Icy.
the kids had fun :) After the 20 minute trip turned into 2 hours, my nerves were shot... not feeling too daring in my boss' truck :)
The only difference between driving in it here and driving in it in Colorado is most of the icy roads I drove in Colorado had curbs, fields or some other cushin on the sides of the road. The road that did me in here has no curbs, a 3 ft ditch on one side and a 6 foot drop to hot springs creek on the other. :) Visions of ending up upside down in that water would not leave me :)
What fun! I agree with Nick, this will be a great memory!
