Animals and Field Day

First off, we rescued a baby opossum from being mauled by our dogs. Cassie thought the "mouse" was so cute.


Today Derek had his track and field day at school. Cassie, Grammy and I went to see him participate in all the events.


First was the bouncy ball relay. The astroturf was wet, so that added to the difficulty, but it was fun to watch :)


Then the sack race... Dereks team did really well. They also did a baseball toss to see who could throw the ball the furthest. Afterwards, Cassie played with it with Grammy while we were waiting for the next event.



Before the next event, Derek had to stretch. He wanted to be the fastest for the cone relay.




Snack time! Cassie had to sit next to brother... she was having some separation anxiety :)

Then they did this little swivel cart relay that he picked up very quickly and me pinning his ribbon on :)

one of the teachers saw cassie doing all the games after the class got done and gave her prize ribbons too :)
