Daddy's Birthday Celebration

Yesterday we went to Olive Garden for Keith's birthday. It was pretty busy because the race track just opened, so our little town of 35,000 has tripled in size. The kids were so excited because we don't get to go to restaurants very often. Keith and Kayla had fetuccini alfredo, Meaghan had a very large pizza, I had salad and breadsticks, and Derek attempted to eat chicken nuggets. He was a little distracted though. Yesterday was the first day he's had the pleasure of playing on a Nintendo DS. He is in love. He played a game where you can buy and name puppies, play with them, and give them baths. I don't think he would have even noticed if we had left him home unless someone took away "his puppies". I haven't seen him without this game in the past 2 days and I don't forsee that changing in the near future. He's in love. Anyways, our dinner was wonderful and we all got full with plenty of leftovers to take home with us. It was really fun to be able to go out with my little family.
