Iron Springs hike

This weekend we went hiking at Iron Springs. It was very cold, but the kids said they had a blast. MaKayla said it was the best hike ever, but next time we'll do it in the spring. :) She's so funny. We took a couple pictures. The sky was so blue and the creek was so clear that the water reflected this brilliant blue. It was gorgeous. We also ran across the strangest ice formations on the side of the mountain. It was wierd because there wasn't any water around, and they formed these ribbons. If anyone knows how they form (you guys from colder climates!) let me know because I'm very curious. While we were hiking, MaKayla sat down to take a rest right next to this tree. I thought it was pretty cool because the branch forms a little heart. I had to get a picture with the "Heart Tree" and three of the four kids that I love! Our trip to Iron Springs was alot of fun, but with the cold and all the excitement, I forgot to photograph...you guessed it... Iron Springs! Maybe next time...
